The last major aspect in succeeding in
college is having good sleeping habits. There
are many reasons why college students sleep in whenever they have a chance to
because they’re exhausted, seep deprived, and in need of some zzzzz’s at any
given time! I am going to give you some
helpful steps that a college student can avoid sleep deprivation.
Step #1: Do your best to make sure you get a certain
amount of sleep every night. This step is the first step because having
widely varying amount of sleep each night like 7 hours on Monday, 2 hours on
Tuesday, can wreak havoc on your body’s ability to really rest and recover as
you sleep. Getting a decent and
consistent amount of sleep each night is your best bet for not feeling
exhausted during you entire 4 (or 5, 6, or 7) years of college. You should at least get 8 or 9 hours of sleep
every night!
Step #2: Exercise. Exercise can keep you healthy and
help you sleep better. Finding time to
exercise is easier than you think. You
can exercise when you don’t have any classes or when you are simply just
hanging around your dorm room.
Step
#3: Don’t pull all-nights! The dreaded all-nighter is a rite of passage
for many, if not most, college students.
Yet they are positively dreadful on your body and mind!! Do you best to figure out how to not
procrastinate in the first place so you don’t have to pull all-nighters during
you time in school.
If you go by these five little steps each day, you
will surely get the right amount of sleep!!
